The Unfailing One came to be with the fallen.
Purity among the unclean.
You are the Father’s greatest Gift.
...a Gift that keeps on giving.
You came at just the right time,
...while we were powerless.
A prophet, before he was born, recognized you in the womb and leapt for joy!
His mother Elizabeth blessed your mother Mary’s faithfulness!
You came humbly, showing us humility.
You came vulnerable, showing us trust.
You came in poverty, showing us true wealth.
You, the King of the Universe, came in a manger.
Born through discomfort and pain,
...blood on the ground,
...starlight up ahead,
...shepherds all around,
...dependent on the nursing breast of a teenage mother
...and the loving care of a young carpenter.
The angels announced your coming
...gloried at Your birth,
...watched every moment.
...Gabriel’s greatest message.
You are the Good News of great joy.
You are the Peace on earth.
You put the merry in Christmas
...and in every other day.
You bring Joy to the World.
Hosanna in the Highest
You who are mighty have done great things for us
...and holy is Your Name.
Light of the World,
A perfect beaming Light for all to see,
...see through the fog of fallen generations
...see through the haze of heinous crimes
...see through the mist of malicious diseases
...see through the smoke of sorrow and loss
...see through the veil of vicious sins
...and the darkness flees from You
Your life is light without shadows.
Long suffering faithful ones longed to see You enter the temple gates.
And Simeon waited for You, day after day, and year after year, and You came.
He saw His own salvation in the form of a child.
He recognized the light was not just for him, but for us all.
And Anna gave thanks for the redemption she had waited for had arrived!
You lived a life of perfection.
You were ALWAYS about Your Father’s business.
You don’t wait for us,
...YOU are knocking at our door,
...ALL who seek will find You,
and You never give up on us
and You will never let us go.
You are the perfect Vine,
...growing abundant life through every branch
...bearing precious fruit filled with seeds of love.
You are the Alpha,
...the beginning of all that is good
...the start of a new life
...the origin of hope
...the foundation of faith
...and the birth of freedom.
You are the Omega,
...putting an end to fear,
...completing the task of reconciliation,
...finishing Your good work in us,
and destroying the work of the evil one.
You are the Miracle Maker,
...giving sight to blind eyes,
...strength to lame legs,
...sound to deaf ears and dumb lips,
... and deliverance to the possessed and oppressed.
You are the Prince of Peace,
...in You our strivings cease,
...our anxiety rolls away,
...our yoke is easy
and our burden is light.
You are the Lion,
...not tame but good,
You are the pure and spotless Lamb,
...a perfect sacrifice.
You are dressed in an impenetrable robe of white,
...a mighty Warrior,
...a commander of armies of angels
...a destroyer of darkness.
You lead Your kingdom forward,
...there is no retreat, no need to turn back,
...for the gates of hell will not prevail.
...the principalities and powers are overwhelmed
You are the Victory
...winning for all mankind
...every tribe, tongue and nation.
You are with God
